The Cooperative Marketing Program, a 50/50 matching funds reimbursement program, has been assisting destination-marketing efforts since FY1995. The program combines the creative and financial resources of local non-profit tourism destination marketing organizations with Missouri Division of Tourism (MDT) resources in a partnership to lead Missouri in becoming one of America's most memorable tourist destinations.

Program goals
- Extend the marketing resources of the Division of Tourism and qualified DMOs through participation in county and regional strategic marketing partnerships
- Support state and local performance-driven projects designed to increase tourism
- PProvide incentive and opportunity for marketing growth and improvement in state and DMO marketing efforts with an emphasis on incremental over-night stays
The Division of Tourism will fund qualified projects that align with the division's strategies for achieving increased direct domestic tourism expenditures as well as the Cooperative Marketing Program goals.
