Mindenmines
Explore the intriguing past of the Osage Indian Nation. Take part in American Indian games, activities, crafts and other activities. Participants will earn the new Missouri State Parks and Historic Sites Explorer patch. Reservations required. This camp is designed for families with children older than five.

Jefferson City
The best amateur and professional cyclists in the state compete on the streets of Jefferson City for the Missouri State Championship jersey and $2,000 in prizes. Races are held throughout the day for each amateur category. The course is a one mile loop through downtown, around the Capitol. Entry fee for participants is $25.

St. Charles
A celebration to mark the 187th anniversary of Missouri becoming the 24th state on Aug. 10, 1821. Activities include historical demonstrations; an open house of the rooms that housed the Capitol from 1821-1826; a dry goods and hardware store; and the Peck’s residence. All rooms are restored and furnished to the time period. Refreshments available.

St. Louis
A special exhibition of 115 paintings by Missouri artist Billyo O’Donnell. Billyo has captured the beauty of his home state by painting one scene on site in each of Missouri’s counties and in the city of St. Louis. This exhibition explores the artist’s seven-year process of research, travel, sketching and painting that resulted in this body of work. A commemorative volume has been published by the University of Missouri Press. At the St. Louis Mercantile Library, UM-St. Louis. Closed saturdays and memorial day.

Arrow Rock
More than 45 crafters demonstrate the skills needed for daily life in the 19th century. Restored 19th century buildings are open in this National Historic Landmark village. Entertainment is offered. There is a special <i>made in Missouri</i> area for arts and crafts of the 21st century. This is a perfect setting for a fall outing.
